As the Chief Investment Officer of Carlsbad Wealth, Andy brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to his clients’ financial well-being.
Following the retirement of his long-time business partner, David George, Andy and his wife, Heather, are now the proud sole owners of the firm.
Originally from a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, Andy earned his degree in Finance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Trading the harsh Midwestern winters for the year-round sunshine of Southern
California, he relocated to the San Diego area to launch his career.
Andy began building his initial financial planning practice with Ameriprise in La Jolla. As his business grew, he moved his practice to Carlsbad, teaming up with David George under the Ameriprise umbrella.
Driven by a shared vision to provide truly independent and client-focused wealth management, Andy and David broke away to co-found Carlsbad Wealth in 2008. Andy earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
designation in 2010. Today, he leads the firm’s investment and tax strategies.
Outside of the office, Andy’s life is full of activity and family time. He and Heather are adjusting to life on the move, chasing after their one-year-old son, Jack, who is just starting to walk.
Andy enjoys traveling with Heather, playing golf and tennis, alpine and water skiing, woodworking, and tackling hands-on DIY projects.
