After a combined 20+ years on the traditional brokerage side of the business, cofounders David George and Andy Sontag decided to break away with the goal of creating a truly independent, unbiased solution for their client base.

Starting an investment management business based solely on assets under management just prior to 'The Great Recession' certainly made Carlsbad Wealth's infancy memorable. Though more time was needed to help lead clients through a shocking and tumultuous time in our history, the value of a disciplined, low-cost, academic approach was made abundantly obvious.
