Heather Sontag is the Chief Financial Officer of Carlsbad Wealth Advisory Group, where she leads the firm’s comprehensive financial planning efforts. A natural planner with a lifelong
affinity for numbers, Heather is passionate about helping clients navigate their financial lives and thoughtfully invest in their futures. Following the retirement of David
George in 2026, Heather and her husband, Andy, proudly stepped in as the sole owners of the firm.
A proud North County native, Heather graduated from California State University San Marcos with a degree in accounting. Before transitioning into wealth management, she spent nine years
working in the accounting field. She developed her accounting expertise across a diverse range of industries, including real estate, nonprofits, manufacturing, fine art consulting, oil
and gas, and power generation. Prior to joining Carlsbad Wealth Advisory Group, she worked for TGG Accounting and Solar Turbines.
Realizing that her skills and meticulous nature were perfectly suited for wealth management, Heather made the career transition to financial planning to work directly with individuals and
families. She officially earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2022.
Outside the office, Heather loves to fuel her creative side by working on artistic projects. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and their one-year-old
son, Jack, who is keeping them on their toes now that he has just started to walk. An avid coffee enthusiast, you will likely run into Heather trying out local coffee shops around North County.
